Russia and China Becoming Closer
On July 3-10, the IV International Russian-Chinese Summer School on International Relations, ‘Space and Time in the Eurasian Era,’ took place in Moscow. The event was organized by the HSE and East China Normal University. A total of 15 Russian and 12 Chinese students are taking part in the summer school. The summer school, whose working language is English, is intended for undergraduate and graduate students from Russia and China that are interested in international relations.

RSSIA 2014: It's Best to Talk about Research in Seven Lines or Less
Between June 28 and July 4, the Russian Summer School on Institutional Analysis (RSSIA 2014) took place near Moscow (RSSIA2014). Aside from the theoretical and practical aspects of institutional economics, also discussed were issues related to the development and presentation of academic research.

‘Learning does not end when you graduate – Self-development is a lifelong process’
Carol Myford, associate professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In her research, she focuses on scoring issues in large-scale performance and portfolio assessments. Outside of academia, she has considerable experience working in government, business and industry. She spoke with the HSE news service about her research interests, the new summer school organized by the Institute of Education in the HSE ( 9-15, July, 2014) devoted to ’Test Development in Psychology and Education’, and her impressions of teaching in Moscow.
Joining Continents
Eleven American students, led by Professor Jennifer Bown from Brigham Young University in Utah, spent nearly six weeks at the Higher School of Economics Nizhny Novgorod campus. During their time, they lived with host families and attended classes to practice their Russian and learn about Russian national identity and culture.
The HSE Nizhny Novgorod Speaks Italian
On March 4, 2014, a lecture series by Giuseppe Ianniello, a full professor at the University of Tuscia, Viterbo, Italy, got underway at the HSE Nizhny Novgorod. For two weeks, participating students will study European financial reporting standards.

Entrepreneurship influences economics, social relations, and the dynamics of global development, and, of course, it needs to be studied on an interdisciplinary level. The European Summer School ‘Exploring Entrepreneurship’, of which the HSE is a founder and participant, recently took place in Thessaloniki (Greece).
